From 3rd to 17th may there´s a new exhibition in the ground level of Valmiera´s culture centre. This time with the textile world involved.
So it looks like the textile field it´s inside the circle of arts in Latvia. Interesting to see it, as in Spain jewelry takes a few more credit tha textiles; anyway, both are separated in their own schools and not inside the arts circle.
I´m not a fan of the textile creation but I understand and support the work that each of these pieces shown requires. Something admirable.
But there´s the word "art" on the exhibition.
The plushy things are my favourites! they are cute and I wonder how to use that material they are made of...
...although I always have space for animal portraits skillfully made with the needle and the thread.
The exhibition gathers students from several colleges around the region, the equal topic is that all the authors are females. Something particular, indeed.
