For now, we can start with a couple of exhibition in the Town´s Museum. One, called AMEN, where the two artists Aris Smildzers and Valdis Krēsliņš (who, by the way, was my drawing teacher in my Art Academy of Latvia period) expose their art, from 1995 to present years. Where Smildzers expose an abstract sculpture of a shining variety of materials, shining due the materials we see are materials which reflect light such aluminium, bronze or polychrome wood with a vivid variety of colour.
And then Krēsliņš where his paintings show several atmospheres and ambiences...I just stayed stuck in the homeless men paintings, those are my favourites precisely due I get the impression is a bitter mocking vision of the reality:
And then, in the upper level of the museum there was the exhibition of the painter Dzidra Bauma, whose timeline is wider and her paintings are a curious progress of her career shown in portraits. And flowers as well. Of course, the exhibition could host only some of her many, many works. Some more preterite style from the present works in the ground floor:
